Counselling and Scope of Practice

I work with adults (18+) who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns, including:

  • Anxiety and panic attacks

  • Depression

  • Anger

  • Stress - work, financial and relationship

  • Low self-esteem and self-confidence

  • Adjustment to life changes

  • Sleep problems

  • Problem gambling

I also have particular experience with:

Who I'm not the right fit for

I’m not the right person to see if you:

  • Are under 18 years of age.

  • Are currently experiencing severe mental health or behavioural difficulties or need multidisciplinary care (e.g. Acute Care Team involvement, recent inpatient admission).

  • Are seeking couples counselling, or support in the context of separation, domestic violence or child custody disputes (DV-specific services are better placed to help).

  • Have been mandated or coerced to attend by a third party and are not personally seeking support.

Service Limitations

To keep my practice focused, there are some services I don’t offer:

  • After-hours, emergency or crisis services (see Immediate Support for options).

  • Independent assessments or medico-legal reports for insurance or legal matters.

  • Psychometric assessments or diagnostic assessments for ADHD/Autism, forensic or family-law matters.

  • Reports, letters or testimony for use in legal proceedings, except where I am legally required to do so.

  • NDIS-funded services (I am not NDIS registered).

If you’re unsure whether I’m the right person to work with you, you’re welcome to get in touch to discuss your situation.
