I have been working in mental health since 2006. I started as a support worker in inpatient mental health.

Since 2010 I have been working clinically with people with mental health and substance use disorders.

I have worked in inpatient mental health and forensic hospitals, prisons, schools and community settings.
Qualifications and Credentials

Master of Educational Psychology (Honours), Graduate Diploma Arts (Psych), Bachelor of Health Science.

I’m a full member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Area of Practice

Adolescents and adults who experience depression, anxiety, PTSD, work stress and chronic pain.

Adults with substance use issues: alcohol, methamphetamine, prescription medication, cannabis.
Location

I work in a custom designed home/office practice with a separate entrance for clients in The Ridges, Peregian Springs.

I have clients that travel as far as Caloundra and Landsborough.


Fees

$120.00 for a 50 – 60 minute session. The Medicare Rebate is $87.45. The Gap is $32.55.
Concession Rate for Health Card Holders

$100.00 for a 50 – 60 minute session. The Medicare Rebate is $84.80. The Gap is $12.55.
Why is my fee lower than what is recommended? Mainly because I work independently in a home office without excessive overheads.
Bulk Billing
-
From mid March until the 1st of July, I reduced my fee from $140.00 to fully Bulk Billing all clients to support them through COVID-19. However, as we are returning to normality, in order for my practice to survive, I am no longer Bulk Billing.
Referral Process
-
You can refer by fax or through Medical Objects.

I will phone the client within 24 hours to complete an intake. This includes a brief intervention. An appointment time will be agreed upon. I aim within seven to 10 days.

I will contact you acknowledging the referral and advising of the appointment date.

I will communicate with you as required and provide an update after the sixth and tenth sessions.
Outcomes
I have recently undertaken a review of 30 clients that I have seen over recent months that have completed six sessions.
